I have a confession to make – I hate white lingerie, most of the time that is. I know, most women consider it to be their favourite colour when it comes to lingerie, heck, even most of the man prefer it alongside black and red. I can tell you by experience that almost all of the guys I’ve dated loved white lingerie to bits and I just wanted to barf. I don’t know what’s the big deal with it – I guess white is a symbol of purity and this way kind of innocent and seductive at the same time. Personally I find it very dull and “ordinary” which is why I stick to my pinks and reds. However, this summer I have seen a few lovely styles in white/cream/ivory. Here’s a list of my light-toned picks for this summer, perfect for keeping you cool when the heat kicks in.
“Rosa” by Tutti Rouge. Rosa features a perfect cream colour with a beautiful totally unique pattern of butterflies, bows and roses. I love the semi-soft shape of it even though I haven’t tried it in person yet. Even though the style is very girly, I find it to be the kinda style I reach for when I want to be feminine and cute. Tutti Rouge has definitely treated my sweet tooth for all the past seasons but I think they hit the jackpot with this particularly sugary style. Rosa is available in sizes 28-38 D-HH.
“Bialy Bez” by Ewa Michalak. How much do I love Ewa for creating this style? I think the see-though lacy fabric is so gorgeous I just couldn’t help but falling in love with it – one reason being its pure white colour. I think white looks most stunning when it’s done with a bold design, for example with this kind of flower-y lace. I love how the edges of the “flowers” are left to be seen on the edge of the cups. I think the style is quite stunning in both 3DM and SM shapes and looks like a great options for brides as well. 3DM goes up to DD- cups, SM is meant for bigger boobs and goes up to K-cup.
“Coquette” by Mimi Holliday. I have been drooling over this one for weeks and would love to buy it to treat myself a little, just haven’t taken the plunge yet (and probably won’t cause I’m broke, haha). The shipping costs are quite a lot considering £12 is around 15€. That’s quite a bit of money for a student. However, the full-bust bra is now 50% off so it’s a great bargain, especially for those living in UK. I love the little black details of the set and they kinda remind me of Snow White (why am I always thinking of Snow White when everybody else thinks french maid? God knows..). Coquette is available up to GG-cup meaning it would be quite a risk for me anyway, since I tend to be in-between sizes at the moment (dangerously leaning towards H-cup).
Well, that was pretty much it for this time and tomorrow I will probably (fingers crossed!) come up with a new review. How do you like white lingerie? Are you a hater or a lover? I would also love to know which colours you do like when it comes to lingerie so please leave me a comment below! xx
White seems to have very different connotations on different people- if I wear white underwear, I look like I’m headed to the beach! Which can be quite fun, but I am leery of staining anything that’s white…
I absolutely adore white lingerie…In theory. In practice, it’s too hard to keep clean and it shows up under everything!
That is true as well, I mean it gets either yellow or grey and that’s not attractive
