Hi everyone! How are you? It’s your girl Sophie here. Or hell, what am I talking about, you know, my real name is actually Mette Sofia. I used to want to blog by a more anonymous name but I have now realised it doesn’t really matter at this point – all my friends and family know about my blog and are more or less proud of what I am doing. In Finland, however, you can get someone’s phone number and home address by looking them up by name, which is why I was never comfortable with writing with my real name to begin with.
I was born exactly 23 years ago and to say the least, it has been quite a ride. I have gained so many new friends over the past three years or so – pretty much the time I have been blogging btw – and also started new hobbies and rekindled old ones, like painting and drawing. I am a pretty arty gal and this is why my blog is also a great way for me to let out some steam and use my creativity. I am also sometimes a bit old-fashioned and cling to things that are not even that significant – like the layout of my blog. I thought about changing it but every time it makes me hesitant and almost a bit sad when thinking about changing something that big about my blog. I liked it from the first day and I still do. What do you think lovers? Should I keep it or change it? I don’t know, if you have any opinions, they are welcome (but be nice, I am a gentle fragile little thing, haha!).
To celebrate these past years and especially the three past ones I have been so happy with, I decided to put together a mini-giveaway for you, my dear readers. Every comment, every nice word and “like” make me feel better about myself – I was never a popular girl and every time someone clicks the follow button, my heart swells with pride and love. THANK YOU! Really, it feels like I have so many friends out there that are actually interested to see what I have to say and it means so much to me. I wouldn’t be this happy without you.
Today I have two of my gals with me to celebrate this day and they are My Curves and Me + Urkye. Both of these babes are there to make us full-bust ladies feel amazing and this is why I wanted to share some of their love with you as well!

URKYE
Urkye is Polish brand that has been close to my heart since two summers ago, when I was working at the Lumingerie storage and going back and fort in a steaming hot bus to go to work. Their dresses and other clothes are especially made for big boobs and look amazing on a curvier figure! The cuts and materials are very practical and I always get so many compliments for both of my Urkye dresses, the Koperta and the Tuba.
Urkye has agreed to give away a Mala dress (pictured above) to one lucky winner with three 30% discount codes for future purchases. The sizes and colours available are featured on the Urkye e-commerce shop and the prize is subject to availability. To enter the giveaway please click the link below and follow the Rafflecopter instructions. There are two mandatory tasks this time – to subscribe to Two Cakes on a Plate (click the “Follow Me” button on the top of the side panel to do that) and leave a comment to this blog post telling me how would you style this dress if you won! Both giveaways are international and the winners will be contacted by email after the giveaway closes. Please check your spam folder in case you won! If my email isn’t replied after one week from contacting you, a new winner will be drawn. Good luck everyone and I hope you are having a great time getting in the Christmas mood (or whatever mood you wanna get into if you are not Christian 😉 ) xx
Black patent ankle boots, a faux fur clutch and a black choker necklace!
My best bargain was probably a bra I got for $0.05 at a Nordstrom Rack… pretty sure it was an error but hey, that’s what the tag said. 🙂
As for styling the dress… I don’t really “style” things, I just wear them…? So I’d wear it with whatever shoes I was planning to wear anyway.
Thanks again for all of your insightful reviews Sophie. Happy birthday again.
Personally, I wouldn’t wear the dress – I don’t have the legs for it. But I figure my wife would probably wear it with a little black lace bolero and heels.
Some nice court shoes and a necklace.
Happy Birthday sugar plum!
Best lingerie bargain … stealing a Mimi Holliday bra from Aunt cause it no longer fitted her. It was silk and lacy and wonderful – unfortunately, I soon out grew it!
My best bargain was probably a Panache Sport I got on eBay for £10 recently! I wear these so often the £40 price tag is a bit hard to stomach.
As for styling the dress, it’s so versatile you could do anything with it! I can see it working well with some pretty sandals and a denim jacket in summer, or with a leather jacket and ankle boots for an edgier look.
I think the best bargain I have gotten was a Beautiful Freya bra auction on Ebay, the bra was just my style and size and no one else was betting, so I took the oportunity and got the bra for about 8 dolars 😀
For the dress, I don’t really know how I would style it, I think it would depend on my mood that day, but I will definitely wear it with some high-heel sandals or ankle boots. 😀
My best bargain was scoring a discontinued Irish Coffee in my exact size! It wasn’t much cheaper than a straight Comexim order BUT still got the bra I’d been lusting over!
As for the Dress, I’d pair it up with some pearls and kitten heels. Probably black or nude. Also a black cardigan!
The biggest bargain I scored was probably Masquerade’s Persia. It was not very popular due to it’s shape but I loved the lace and tassel, at first it wasn’t on my budget but then I found it on sale 🙂
I would probably style it with a leather biker jacket, black stockings and boots.
I would team it with some gorgeous court shoes, a statement necklace and some glitzy bracelets.
I would style the beautiful dress with a moto jacket and some boots 🙂
One time at Burning Man I found a Goddess Longline strapless in a sister size at a boutique giveaway. Life-changing, I’d never had a longline before and now I’m obsessed.
I would team the dress with some black knee high boots
I would wear the dress plain with my favorite tan heels! It is so pretty!
I bought a beautiful cerise balconette bra in the Next sale for £1 – result!!
Best bargain was finding a swimsuit in my size at a charity shop – until then I didn’t know swimsuits came in bra sizes!
As for styling – I have a a little bravissimo shrug that would be darling with this, with black platform heels and some seamed stockings. Perfect for christmas 😉
M y best lingerie bargains have been the two times I bought tasty treats in Agent Provocateur 70% off sales, could never afford it normally!
My best lingerie bargain was a Freya bra that was marked at £9, then when I got to the till there was another 25% off!
i would wear the dress with some nice tights and a chunky necklace.
I always get my underwear in the sales! i find shopping online is the best idea, i once got a boux avenue bra for £3!
I would wear this with my red peep toes, black and gold clutch and a pearl necklace, with my hair down and curled 🙂 Probably red lips to match!
I’d style it with some black heels and simple silver jewellery
My best lingerie bargain is probably when I bought for my birthday the Idalia suspender from L’Agent By Agent Provocateur and the high waisted brief “A Fleur De Peau” from Maison Close. I ordered these two beauties on Asos at very low price (respectively 11 and 6 pounds ) instead of 40 pounds for the suspender and 35 pounds for the brief! And I was so pleased at the reception of my parcel! The both were amazingly delicate and fitted me like a dream.
