Lingerie Review: Parfait “Elissa” Longline in 32G

14 May

Spring and summer are time for romance and weddings – shoutout to a fellow lingerie blogger Becky who married her boo a couple of weeks back! As I have probably never worn white lingerie since primary school and never really introduced you to bridal options in DD+ here on 2COP, maybe it was time I reviewed something plain white for your curvy bride-to-bes. When Parfait asked if I wanted to try something from their SS16 collection, I decided to give their Elissa range a try. Here’s how I liked the set…

DSC_0124DSC_0141
The Design: On the Parfait website the Elissa longline is named as an unlined wired bralette; to me, bralette indicates a wireless bra which is why I’d rather call the piece a longline bra. This particular longline features six rows of hooks and eyes and four bones on the band; two at the front and two on the sides. This keeps the longline from flipping up and moving around and also gives the piece a bit of structure. The cups are constructed of three parts, one vertical and one horizontal seam. The shape of the bra is quite natural, so a bit pointy and goes very well under my vintage dresses.

The style of the bra is very pretty even though I am not a big fan of white lingerie. I chose this set so I could break my own boundaries and I do actually like it a lot – there is nothing too juvenile or basic about this set, it is sophisticated enough for bridal wear but also smooth enough to be worn on regular everyday basis. The lace on the band and the upper part of the cups is very beautiful and a tiny bit stretchy to maintain a pretty good fit.

DSC_0133DSC_0126
The Fit: As most Parfait bras only go up to G-cup, I decided to opt for size 32G with Elissa and see how it goes. Usually 32G has been a pretty good success with Parfait and I was right again – the cups are a teeny tiny bit too small as my boobies are bulging just a bit over the cup edges. However, I would say this bra suits more full-on-bottom breast anyway, so maybe we were just not meant to be. You can also see a bit of wrinkling on the bottom part of the cups which I have no clear idea of where they came from. Maybe it’s a shape incompatibility issue? If you have ideas, please let me know in the comments! If I had the chance, I would have loved to try a 32GG with this bra to see if it would solve some of the fit problems.

The longline band of this bra is quite tight for a 32. I would say it stretches up to exactly 32″ so if you measure 32″ or 33″ I would suggest sizing up to 34. I can just about do this up but not on my own so that is definitely something to consider when opting for your size! The underwires are quite wide for me so if you are more wide-rooted this may be the bridal bra for you! However, I am not too bothered by the wires as they don’t rub me or chafe my armpits at all.

DSC_0131DSC_0156
Comfort: My history with longlines is not the most smooth one – the ones that have been here from the start remember that infamous Fauve “Bronte” review where I complained about the bones on the bodice that rubbed and stabbed me all over my torso and armpits. Not a pleasant experience! Since then I have been hesitant to try longlines. I needn’t have worried this time though – the Elissa is a pretty comfy little number even with the four bones on the band. Sure, it will never be a comfortable as a bra without extra wiring but the bones don’t poke me all around like with Bronte. The materials are also quite soft and the lace does not cause any itching even when being so close to bare skin on the bottom half of the band. The straps are fully-adjustable so they suit many body types with ease.

I got the bikini brief bottoms with the set in size Small and I would say Parfait really knows how to make comfy panties. These run quite true-to-size but they have some give at the back because of the stretch lace. If I could suggest something to Parfait, I would ask them to make a deep suspender belt to match this set or perhaps a high-waisted panty with garters.

All in all I think this would be a fantastic set for any full-busted bride out there, if you don’t need a strapless bra under your dress. Longlines are usually a pretty good choice under a party dress anyway, as many women like the smoothing ability they have – I am looking at you ladies who are neurotic about back fat! If you would like to get yourself an Elissa set of your own it comes in sizes 30-40 D-G and S-2XL and you can find it on Kohl’s and Classic Shapewear . The longline bra retails for $54 and the bikini briefs for $25. What kind of lingerie did you wear/ are you planning to wear on your wedding day? Let me know in the comments! xx

SIL Tradeshow -Parfait AW16 Collection Preview

8 Feb

Parfait is one of those brands that are really famous for one bra – that is the Charlotte. Most of us have bought it at some point of our lives and love the bra as a great bradrobe staple. It is a wonderful ensemble with a unique design and great shape, but I also feel that the rest of the Parfait collection seems to stay in the darkness and not many of my regular online shopping platforms offer some of the other lovely Parfait styles. I hope this AW16 season will be a different story as it is one of the strongest collections Parfait has come out with. Even while being small, the AW16 range offers a variety of lovely lace pieces but also practical basics. Let’s dive into it!

DSC_0479DSC_0483DSC_0484
Charlotte in Bronze, Casey in Ruby Wine & Estelle in Merlot

This new AW16 was definitely a great step towards more inclusive DD+ lingerie industry and thus a season for “nude” lingerie for women of colour. As compared to this spring season we are already seeing lots more variety with the “nude” colour palette and Parfait is a great example of it – they didn’t come up with just one, but three styles that will be a great match for dark chocolate toned skin.

The first one of the styles featured above is the good old Charlotte. This style already comes in a dusty rose colour which is great match for my skin for example, but now Parfait has created another lovely basic colour for their signature bra style. Also another classic, Casey (sizes 30-40 D-G), comes in a warm, almost red-ish dark brown colour with the lovely smooth surface to go under the thinnest of t-shirts. If you are looking for a more sexy style though, I would go for the Estelle which is my personal favourite from this whole collection – it’s a lacy, almost Marie Antoinette-like version of the Charlotte and I really like its more feminine look as compared to Charlotte’s fashion forward and edgy design.

DSC_0487DSC_0495
Estelle in Black, Aline in Black and Nude

Estelle and Aline are the two new styles for Parfait that come out around July/August in 2016. With the Estelle being a total queen of the collection, the Aline is a new more basic style that comes in both Black and Nude and a classic pinstripe pattern. The design is bandless, which means there is no band fabric at the lower part of the centre gore and the wires make a U-shape on one’s ribcage. I am not a fan of basic t-shirt bras but I know there is a market for them – my mom for example would really enjoy the nude version of Aline.

DSC_0489DSC_0492
Destiny in Nightshadow Blue, Marianne in Cobalt Blue

Blue is still going strong as an alternative for black and purple. I am also very much fancying the grey-ish blue tones that seem to also be making their way into basic colours this SS16 season. The new colour of the Destiny bra set would be beautiful on any redhead like myself – it also sports some luxurious satin and lace, which makes the set look far more expensive than it actually is. Both of the sets above come in 30-40 D-G. I am really hoping that at some point Parfait will expand their size range with some of their other styles in addition to Charlotte – I think that would make a lot of ladies super happy!

How do you feel about the new Parfait autumn collection? Do you like the dark brown options? Let me know in the comments below! xx

Lingerie Review: Parfait “Leslie” in 32G

5 Nov

For a long time, I have been eyeing Parfait and been asking myself the question – should I just cheat and buy something in a 32G? As some of you may know I have been having a love/hate relationship with their Charlotte bra – I am a size 30HH with their G+ version of the bra and to be honest, it is just way too much of a bra for me. Sadly none of their other styles go above G-cup, hence my hesitation. When Parfait contacted me and asked if I would like to try something from them, I jumped at the chance and asked to try their lovely Leslie bandeau balconette in 32G. As my usually size ranges between 30-32 GG-H, it was a long shot but one worth taking – here’s how I liked this spicy little beauty!

DSC_0200 DSC_0227
The Design: I have recently got more into animal prints which is why I decided to give the leopard print Leslie a go – also, I am a huge fan of blue as it suits my own colouring so well. The Leslie is very similar to Charlotte in styling as it comes in both the classic contour bra and the balconette one and it also features the signature black trimming we all have come to love. As a print lover this version of the classic Charlotte shape intrigued me and I decided to challenge the bandeau bra and see how it would work for my breast size and shape. I was very happy with the results and as you can see, the bra gives me a lovely vintage-sorts of looking Brigitte Bardot kinda cleavage.

The Leslie bandeau balconette is not a moulded cup bra as it might seem but the cups construct of three parts with one vertical and one horizontal seam. This gives the bra its distinct shape and gives phenomenal uplift even with padding. The Leslie is indeed quite heavily padded, meaning it’s a great option if you want that extra oomph (I wear this bra mostly under my Collectif “Dolores Doll” dress).

DSC_0203 DSC_0206
Fit: As I knew, the 32G wouldn’t probably be my best option, but this time it came pretty close. As I have a-symmetry, my other boob is spilling over the cup just a bit but my other one seems perfectly fine – which is why I can easily wear this bra especially if I want some vavavoom with my dresses. The 32 band is surprisingly firm and passes almost as a 30. If you are between sizes with bands like me, I would suggest sizing up! The cups seem very true to size, meaning in a perfect world I would be wearing a 32GG.

The wires are a tad to wide for me as per usual with Parfait but somehow, they are far better than with the 30HH I wear my purple Charlotte in. The cups are fairly deep as well so no orange-in-the-glass effect luckily! They are also quite closed at top which makes me wonder if I would have been fine with a 32G if they were more open. However, this makes the bra perfect for any full-on-bottom ladies out there. The centre gore floats just a bit from my sternum but as I have noticed, I prefer it that way because of my atopic eczema – super tacking gores give me a horrible itch!

DSC_0215DSC_0070
Comfort: For my luck, the straps of the Leslie are not quite as widely placed as with Charlotte. I really like this feature as my armpits get chafed really easily if the underwires are too high at the sides and straps are placed right at the edge of my elbows. The straps and the bra band are both wide meaning the bra is truly created to take a lot of weight and support you throughout the day. The materials are not horribly rigid meaning I can wear the bra for hours without discomfort. The cups are lined with black cotton which feels nice against the sensitive skin of my boobs.

I also received the Leslie high-waisted briefs in size Small which is still my preferred size with Parfait. I wanted to give their high-waisted options a chance again and was not disappointed – these panties are fantastic! I must admit they are not the most seamless option under tight dresses or jeans but still look gorgeous as they are and I love how high they actually come – right up to my belly button! The back side of the knickers is completely sheer which makes them a bit more sexy than your regular high-waisted panties and thus, I love them all the more.

If you would like to give Leslie a try, do check out Amazon as they have the best size range for the bra. What do you think of Leslie? Do you like the animal print more than the basic two-toned Charlotte? Let me know in the comments! xx

Retro-Style Lingerie: Review of Parfait “Charlotte” in 30HH

26 Oct

Many of you must have become familiar with a very well known Parfait style called Charlotte (click for my previous review in 30G!). Basically, Charlotte is a Parfait best-seller going up to K-cup and this way, it has become a favourite for so many women who crave for sexy options for a fuller bust. I myself have owned Charlotte in its pink colourway but this autumn the Parfait team has come up with a great new colourway of Purple Wine. I was so smitten with the purple shade and as I had grown out of my pink version, I knew I had to have my hands on the purple Charlotte. Luckily, my friends at Large Cup Lingerie were so kind to send me a whole new set of Charlotte so here’s the updated review of Parfait’s G+ Charlotte.

DSC_0085 DSC_0107
Design: As you may know by my last review of Charlotte, I absolutely adore the design as it is very retro pinup-like and always comes in delicious colourways. I liked how the Charlotte has now seen a few deeper shades as the previous ones have been quite pink and cutesy. The purple hue is very lively and rich and reminds me of berries. I also like the black trimmings – they make the style a bit more whimsical and classic at the same time and give the design its signature look.

The cups of the 30HH Charlotte cover a lot more than my 30G but that is quite expected as many brands don’t really know how to make supportive bras with a little less fabric or just believe than bigger busted gals need a bit heavier bras. The shape of the bra is still good and it leaves a fair amount of my chest bare so I think the looks of the bra work well in bigger sizes as well. There is not much cleavage in sight but it’s always good to own even some bras that cater for more modest look under clothing.

DSC_0078 DSC_0088
Fit: As the my previous version of Charlotte in 30G fitted me true-to-size and also otherwise very well, I was a bit baffled when I heard the G+ sizes were a different story. The cups ran small, the cups and straps were wider and cups came up high in the armpit. I wanted to know if this was something I could get on with and found indeed the bra to be a different fit with in 30G and 30HH.

I don’t find the fit differences such a huge problem but as there are significant differences, I suggest you read my review thoroughly. First of all, the cups do run about a cup size and half small so I would say you need to size up either a cup size or two if you are bigger than a G-cup. My 30G was on the smaller side of G but still not as “off” as the cup volume in the bigger sizes. My usual size is now between 30GG and 30H so a 30HH was a pretty good guess I’d say. Also I had tried the red version of the bra in a 30J before and it fitted me well (!) BUT the sizes has been revised a bit since last spring and they now come up a tiny bit roomier. The bands are snug but I would still go for your regular band size as the 30 band fits my 30″ underbust very nicely.

The cups encase my breast tissue well and the whole bra feels very supportive on – it’s one of the most sturdiest bras I have at the moment. If you do have a large bust and need something that will keep your girls in place, this is the bra for you. The straps are very wide in my opinion which is also a pro if you want something super supportive. The bra band is also rather wide and so are the cups/wires. I would say Parfait could still do some revising on the fit as the cups tend to come quite high up in my armpit but as it goes, I can deal with that issue pretty well. Also the fit is quite good for my full-on-top boobs though there is some folding at the bottom of the cups as they seem to be a bit too shallow for me. However, the top part of the cups is not cutting in and the bra gives me a nice shape so I don’t mind the wrinkling too much.

DSC_0090 DSC_0102DSC_0077
Comfort: As the bra is a bit heavy and sturdy it is probably not your best choice for a summer day in hottest heat but when you want to feel secure and strapped down and eg need to run for a bus, this bra is a great option. I sometimes find myself opting for the lightest bras I own and in the end of the day, the narrow bands and straps just feel painful and too flimsy, especially if you are wearing the bra for several hours. I would say that Charlotte does have a lot of bra going on, but it can be a saviour of the day when you have been running around all day and your boobs still haven’t bounced and hit you in the face.

The panties of this set are again comfortable AF and look super flattering too. I have even worn my Charlotte panties for dance class and other sports and they always seem to do the job superbly. So if you get the bra, make sure to get the bottoms as well! Charlotte set also includes a pair of lovely high-waisted knickers so if you want to add up some extra retro vibe, make sure to check them out too. The panties run true-to-size in my opinion so I went for my regular size Small.

The bra goes up to 40K (!) and costs only £30 so it’s not gonna break the bank either. I would also like to dearly recommend Large Cup Lingerie as they have a fantastic customer service and they offer a FREE international delivery! The ladies at LCL put their heart into their work and it really shows while interacting with them. What I wore for Christmas – The review of Parfait “Charlotte” in 30G

25 Dec

As many of you my readers know I have an slight obsession over everything pin-up and vintage-y – especially lingerie with a good retro vibe. Well, I was over the moon when Large Cup Lingerie offered to send me a set of lingerie for my b-day and I decided to opt for the Parfait Charlotte set I’ve been drooling over for months. I decided to go for the new Wild Pink colour since it is such a vibrant shade and very suitable for any occasion (also I gave my bf a chance to pick a favourite which I agreed on). Charlotte has already become one of my favourite sets to wear so today I’m gonna review it for you! Enjoy xx

ImageImage

Design: Divine! Charlotte is a padded bra with three-seam cup construction. This gives my boobs a great rounded shape which makes it an easy everyday choice to wear under clothes. Due to the padding this bra gives me a bit of oomph to my boobs and makes them seem almost a little bigger than they actually are. This feature is not something I look for in every bra I buy but it doesn’t bother me at all with this bra – quite the contrary. Also the cleavage is pretty awesome even though the style of this bra is something between balconette and plunge.

Looks-wise Charlotte is a darling indeed. It has great colour options which made me weigh in my options for quite a while. The bold black trimmings are great to give the design a little rougher edge and contrast. This set is also famous for it’s quite unique fabric choices – the set features both matte and shiny materials.

ImageImage

Fit: I have seen my fellow bloggers encountering some fit issues with Charlotte but to me it’s one of my best-fitting bras. The wires are quite wide but not disturbingly so and I find them almost the right length for me.

The cups of this bra run a little small I’d say. I’d say these are something between FF and G but fit me just fine. As many of you know I have slight size difference when it comes to my breasts and this is why I feel like my left breast is trying to escape the cup just a little without anycausing spillage though. I’d say my other boob would actually almost need size GG. This can be also due to cup depth; Charlotte is quite shallow when it comes to cups. The band on the other hand is very true to size and has three rows of hooks and eyes which gives me extra support for my ever-growing boobies.

The straps are the minor fault of this bra since they are too wide-set for most of the bloggers that have tried this bra. I found them quite ok but would say that a girl with narrower shoulders could have a problem with them.  Also the cup height has been a problem often reported with Charlotte (cups come too high up in the armpit) but I will discuss that in the comfort section.

ImageImage

Comfort: With time I have become more and more aware of how important comfort is when it comes to bras and lingerie in general. Comfort is actually one of the things that can make or break a bra and with Charlotte it really gives the lingerie set it’s best advantage. Besides great looks Charlotte is one of those sets I wear on a daily basis since it’s made of great materials and eg has less rigid wires than Parfait’s Danielle.

If I had to point out one thing that gives this set a slight minus it would be the cup height. Even though I prefer cups that come up quite high in my armpit (to cover all my breast tissue) these cups feel a little too high even for me. In some positions or as I make certain moves with my upper body the cups pinch me a little in the armpit which certainly needs to be considered as a minor flaw that Parfait could probably easily fix for next season.

Panties: This time I went for the bikini bottoms since I wanted to try if they flattered me better than those high-rise panties. I opted for a size Small which seems to run a bit large so I probably could have gone down to size XS (but there would have been a little muffin-top going on so I’m still better off with the Small). These panties are super cute and comfy and I might say very flattering on my boyish hips. I found them much more suitable for me than the high-rise knickers of Danielle.

You can find Parfait’s Charlotte on Large Cup Lingerie with an impressive size range of 28-40 E-K. If LCL doesn’t have your size in stock just contact them and I’m sure they can figure something out for you. Again, I have to mention that this online store has the most wonderful customer service and besides that they offer free international delivery.

Have you tried Parfait’s Charlotte yet? If so, did you like it and which one is your favourite colourway? Let me know in the comments! Also I’d like to wish you all a very merry Christmas, hope you have a good time! 🙂

Friday Review: Parfait “Danielle” – Arvostelussa Parfaitin “Danielle”

25 Oct

Hi lovelies! Oh how did my autumn break go? Well, I had a lot of fun but also “wonderful” time as a babysitter to my drunk friends. We had our annual uni event called “Mallasappro” where uni students drink a certain amount of pints and get a stupid badge for it to attach to their student overalls. Dumb, huh? Well, I was there, witnessing about 300 people getting mortal and puking every place they could think of. Fun!

But I’m not here to talk about my wild student life. I have a review (!) for you starring Parfait’s Danielle set. This set was provided generously by Finnish online store Lumingerie but this does not affect my opinions on the set.

Image

Design: I had been eyeing Danielle from a far for a couple of months when I first saw it appear on someone else’s blog in the ss13 shade of pale rose. I love how Parfait provides many options for different tastes when it comes to Danielle; there’s a regular moulded cup bra, also a very vintage-y longline bra, high-rise knickers and low-rise hipsters. This also solves a lot of problems fit-wise since not everything suits everyone. I first thought about going for the longline but then ended up with the regular bra (I have bad experience with longlines) and the high-waisted brief.

When it comes to materials Parfait’s Danielle has everything covered: sultry shiny fabric with small fabric-covered buttons on the front, MASSIVE lace with a slight hint of sheen to it. Absolutely beautiful. Also the lace seems very high quality and mature so this is definitely not a the kind of bra you find from your regular high street store.

The shape that this bra gives is pretty good. It is quite rounded which is due to the cup construction being moulded. It’s not much of an cleavage-giver and tends to splay my breast more in an east-westy style. I would prefer something that makes my boobs more centered under clothes but to me, this is more of a boudoir kind of style anyways. This bra should actually come with a warning – it adds a lot of volume to your natural breast size! What I noticed after ripping the package open was that the bra looked HUGE. I was almost convinced it would be too big on me but apparently you should never judge a book by its cover.

Image

Fit: As one of my readers pointed out of the Parfait promotional pic, the model’s boobs looked a little unsupported in her Danielle. I have a reason for this; the biggest issue with this bra are the straps. They are quite long and only half-adjustable which leads the model’s boobs to hang lower than they should (besides the fact that she was probably wearing a wrong size anyways). I could have done with a little shorter straps myself but when I fully adjust them they are quite ok. I’m still considering to shorten them a bit which seems a pretty easy task to do.

The band of this particular bra (and Parfait bras in general) tends to be quite tight. I opted for a 30G this time since my boobs have grown a bit but also my band size is a solid 30 (boxing lessons, thanks for back muscle). 30 band on Danielle feels to be on tighter side of 30 so this is good news to women with smaller underbusts than mine, I think a 28 or 29 could easily wear this with full support. The band has three rows of hooks and eyes which is good for extra support.

The cups are pretty wide and tall which adds the effect of whole-lotta-bra. However I didn’t feel like it had those infamous high-set wires people often have trouble with when it comes to Parfait and G+ sizes. I felt like the wires were a tad too wide on me but it’s not really notable like on my Fauve Bronte longline. What about the cup depth then? Pretty average too but I would say a little more on the shallower side towards the center especially. With this bra I’d suggest you to go a cup size up from your Panache size (mine’s 30FF) and leave it completely for other people if you tend to have really deep breasts.

I also got to try out the high-rise briefs which I have in size Small. I would say that these panties are pretty much true to size but suit the best women with short-to-average crotch-navel ratio. I have quite a long one so these cuties didn’t quite reach my navel area. This caused them to sit on my cookie pouch and roll a bit during the day. (Scroll down to the video to see a glimpse of the panties!)

Image

Comfort: As I said before, for its looks this is a boudoir kinda set which definitely adds glamour to your night out. It’s also a pretty sturdy style which makes you feel supported the whole time you are wearing it. On the other hand this causes some comfort issues that I need to notify. I have gained about an inched to my underbust which is why the band and the wires of this bra feel very restrictive and rigid. I can easily wear this bra for the whole day but it’s not the one I opt for home usage for example.

The wires are made of very rigid material and do not bend easily. This is why you should seriously consider whether your underbust can take the pressure of the wires. I know some of you might suffer from a condition which causes bruising on your underbust skin and this is definitely not the bra for you.

Verdict: Who do I recommend this bra to then? Well, as we have discussed. Sexiness is not something that is find easily in the full bust market. This sultry shade of purple gives a great sexy look to your autumn evenings. I would also recommend this bra to someone who prefers tight bands, women with longer torsos and women who need a bit wider than average wires and cups on the shallower side.

All in all this is great set for special occasions but fit- and comfort-wise Parfait has a bit to improve yet. Size range is 30-40 DD-G and very reasonably priced for such luxurious set (bras around £40 mark) compared to other brands and sets with the same kinda style.

Moi! Tiiättekö oikeesti paniikki iskee AINA kun istun tuohon kameran eteen, tosi kuumottava tilanne. Ja näin sivukommenttina hell yes laitoin näköjään nopeasti mun meikit koska en yleensä näytä noin umppalumpalta, sorry for that. Lisäksi musta on aivan äärimmäisen vaivaannuttavaa puhua kameralle, että antakaa armoa. Pliis.

Asiaan.

Minulle Danielle tuntui istuvan oikein hyvin lukuunottamatta muutamaa seikkaa.

Brand portrait: Parfait Affinitas

7 Oct

Hi all ya lovelies out there! It’s been a long time again but you can’t blame me, this second year of studying psychology has tried to kill me a few times but not managed quite yet. Anyways, that means I haven’t been able to post that often. I would LOVE to, but seriously, there are only 24 h in a day. Fortunately there is a lot of fun stuff on my to-blog list and today I’ll be introducing you to one of my new favourite DD+ brands, Parfait by Affinitas. As many of you know this particular brand went through a big size extension recently and is now available in 28″ bands and up to K-cup! This is particularly good news to women who want something sexy and sophisticated in bigger cupsizes.

I reached out to Parfait to learn a little bit more about them and here are some basic facts you might enjoy! 😉

SUOMEKSI: Heippa kaikille!

First of all Parfait Affinitas was founded in California and their first collection launched in 2007. The style of the brand is very distinctive providing fashionable women and girls designs with a sexy edge. To me, Parfait is exactly what I want from my lingerie; sexy, inventive and supportive. I also give a thumbs up for their size range and price point; sizes range between 28-40 D-K (depending on the line) and their bras are usually around the £30 mark. Not bad, huh?

  • Why did Affinitas & Parfait decided to expand up to K-cups?
As you know, our standard Parfait sizing is a D through to G cup from a 30 to 40 back but we found that increasingly our specialist retailers were asking for larger cups.  So, in response to this feedback, we are now offering some of our best selling styles up to a K cup.  For similar reasons, Affinitas, which is our brand that normally ends at a DD cup, now has a few E’s in some of the best selling bra frames too! /Miksi Parfait päätti laajeentaa kokovalikoimaansa? – Spesialistijälleenmyyjämme kysyivät enenevissä määrin lisää kokoja ja päätimme tämän vuoksi laajentaa suosituimpien malliemme kokovalikoimaa. Samaisesta syystä Affinitas, jonka koot yleensä loppuvat DD:hen, laajensi suosituimmissa malleissa E-kuppiin saakka!
  • How has the size expansion been received by consumers and retailers?
Our customers are very happy with the fit of both brands, and to have larger sizes offered in the best selling styles has been very well received.  😉 / Miten kokovalikoiman laajentaminen on otettu vastaan? – Asiakkaamme ovat erittäin tyytyväisiä molempien merkkien istuvuuteen ja parhaiden myydyt tyylit isommissa kuppikoissa on otettu todella hyvin vastaan. 😉

  • What are their most popular lines?
The Parfait brand’s Charlotte is very popular.  It is a sassy retro style collection that is offered in some great colours up to a K cup (and this season we have introduced a 28 back too).  The basics in Affinitas have been causing a stir recently, especially Nicole’s racerback, but all of our continuity in both brands are best selling collections and fortunately, we have many of them to offer our retailers in fashion as well as the basics.  Additionally, our customers like the fact that there are many add-on possibilities in many collections – camisoles, chemises and babydolls for example. / Mitkä ovat suosituimpia mallejanne? –Parfaitin Charlotte on todella suosittu.
  • What are their core values when it comes to the brand and the designs?
Primarily, the fit has just got to be right.  Additionally, we continue to listen to our markets and respond to the commercial demands.  Each season we layer on top of that, the right designs at the right price points. – Istuvuus on meille ensisijaista.

  • What does the future hold for Affinitas Intimates?
We shall continue to listen to what our customers have to say and respond to what is needed to continue our growth in Europe!

This brand makes me super eager to try them out and luckily I will be reviewing two of their styles soon! Parfait is stocked at ie. Large Cup Lingerie (UK) and Bare Necessaties (US).

Olen jo pitkään halunnut kokeilla tätä merkkiä ja pian tänne blogiinkin ilmestyy arvostelut kahdesta eri Parfaitin mallista! Pysykääpä siis kuulolla. Suomessa Parfaitia myy ainoastaan Lumingerie ja onkin mahtavaa, että kyseinen verkkokauppa on ottanut tällaisen merkin valikoimiinsa.

Full bust problems – Bringing sexy back?

17 Sep

So I promised you a rant and you’re gonna get one, sorry. If it’s not your thing, just scroll down and read some more positive stuff, right? What I want to talk to you about is how full bust lingerie has ignored one massive target market; us who want sexy, seductive and sultry.

When I entered the full bust world there weren’t that many options for me; basically just Curvy Kate and Eveden Group brands. This was fine to me, hell, I had upgraded to 30E/F and felt amazing in my new CK bras! Also I had been dating my (ex)boyfriend for a while back then and didn’t feel like pleasing him so much anymore. I didn’t need a confidence boost so I went for what I thought looked nice and girly, and most of all, what fitted me.

Well fellas, eating makes you even more hungry so here I am, craving for more. AGAIN. I know, I should take what they give me but ya know, I was never that girl. I’m the girl whose lust for better is never satisfied, so I’m gonna let it all out.

I snatched this one up on The Lingerie Lesbian and the set is by Agent Provocateur, one of the sexiest British lingerie manufacturers in the market. YET, not in my size range (shocker). This is what I would love to see from full bust brands as well; something innovative, dark and sultry. I know there must be tons of limitations when it comes to creating bigger cupsizes (and smaller backs especially) but I’d still like to see it happen, somehow.ImageImage

And yet another British brand that tempts me tremendously – Myla. Great designs, sexy as heck and oozes bedroom fun.

So why did I end up craving something tiny, translucent and silky in my drawers? Yeah you guessed it, I’m single and it puts certain pressure on me. It is kinda sad but on the other hand, extremely exciting. I do not feel the pressure from the society to crave for certain kind of lingerie but I do feel like full bust lingerie is not giving me enough to feel confident and desirable. It’s stupid since men usually don’t give a single fuck (excuse my language) about lingerie, they never have and probably never will. It’s just like a shoe-thing for me; I just get a kick out of a high heel, not a damn sneaker.

Not that the industry lacks the sex appeal totally, there are some brands that I applause to and want to encourage to go even further with their designs.

Well hello there, Fauve! Fauve is one of Eveden’s sub-labels that carry grown-up pieces with a sexy edge. I LOVE this new Delphine style that should come available this autumn/winter and I’ll definitely be saving my pennies for it. Unless it has that weird wire problem like last time… Not pretty and certainly not comfortable. Anyways, keep up the fantastic design work, Fauve and I’ll get back to you!

Image

Claudette certainly upgraded their game this season and I’m glad they did! I mean, how much closer can you get to sexy than a bra whose cups OPEN at the front. Also the snake print  of this Ouvert set is absolutely breathtaking.

ImageImage

Gossard, you’re doing it well grrrl! This is a brand that I’ve been lusting to try out since they mix traditional sexiness to quirky prints and colours; a winner combo to me! What I would love to try on are these new Edina and Retrolution styles that are totally drool-worthy.

Ok, I swore never to buy from Ewa Michalak after that horrible event with their customer service BUT now I may have to take my words back. Don’t eat me! Just look at those beautiful babydolls and your heart is gonna melt away too. (the pic is taken from their FB page)

And then last but not the least Parfait which has gone through a big size extension lately. I love their Charlotte range and hope dearly that this kind of designs will be seen in their collections even more in the future.

So there it is, I said it and now I’m gonna cross my fingers that something will happen. What do you think, would there be more room for sexier designs in the full bust market? Do you own a truly seductive piece of lingerie above DD cup? Let me know in the comments!
