Lingerie Review: Gossard “Watercolour Roses” in 30DD

6 Oct

I love working with Gossard as they have been so kind to 2COP from the very beginning and as Jo came along, I have loved how we could showcase the differences of Gossard’s two size ranges. Gossard also comes up with such a variety of lovely styles and prints that I can hardly keep up! This Watercolour Roses print was one of those pure diamonds Gossard came up with for the AW15 season and I was surprised to see how some other brands followed along with this pastel-y romantic autumn trend. As this particular styles goes only up to E-cup, it was Jo’s turn to take the place on the stage. *This set was kindly gifted to Jo by Gossard. All opinions are our own.*

Design: As I showed Jo the Gossard catalog to see what she liked, this was one of the first styles that caught her eye – “it’s so pretty!” And it truly is. The print is consists of what it’s called – watercolour roses – and its paint-like flowers are a mixture of both cool and warm tones which creates a lovely winter-garden-like impression. The printed satin is accompanied with a lovely quality embroidery which adorns the cup edges and and the bra band.

The shape of the bra is a true plunge with a three-part cup construction that gives the bust line a lot of uplift and pushes the boobs together just enough to create an alluring cleavage. The shape is rather rounded yet natural and the amount of coverage is just right for open/plunging necklines.

Fit: I asked for a 30DD for Jo as it is her best-fitting Gossard size so far. Even though the Gypsy bra (click for the review!) was a bit roomy on her allover, the Watercolour Roses felt like a pretty regular Gossard bra with a snug band and large-ish cups. However, it seems that Jo is a bit between with cup sizes right now as sometimes, her left boob tries to escape the cup a tiny bit and thus, we would very much like to put her in a 30DD 1/2 if we could! For the push-up effect though, this is a much better size than a 30E which would undoubtedly be left gaping.

The band is very narrow with Watercolour Roses so if you feel like one hook and eye won’t support you properly, this is probably not the bra for you. The fit is however very good on Jo, who usually wears a 28 band. However, with Gossard she seems to be between band sizes too and if we could put her in a half a size smaller band, the fit would be just a tiny bit better for her. As we know, tighter bands last for a longer period of time and will prevent you from tossing the bra too early for loss of support! The wires however are great on Jo and as with yours truly, they hit just the right spot at the root of the breast. The cup shape and depth are also perfect for Jo’s full-on-bottom boobs so I would definitely recommend this bra for you FOB ladies out there!

DSC_0049 DSC_0067
Comfort: When it comes to the materials and fit, Gossard always makes some of the most comfortable lingerie on the market. The cups are always lined with something soft and non-itchy and the wires are flexible enough to move with your body all-day-long – even after several hours, the bras are totally wearable and not pressing your ribcage like mad. What does not work with Jo’s body though, are the infamous Gossard straps – they are once again a bit too long but luckily, not as stretchy as with the Gypsy.

The bottoms Jo chose for her set were the thong as she rarely wears anything else – a complete opposite to me, that is! The fit of the XS looks prefect on her and the back part is made of stretchy mesh that makes up for the more rigid satin-y front panel. The construction of the thong is quite simple and frill-free which makes it a perfect option for everyday-wear under tighter clothes such as skinny jeans.

If you would like to get yourself a very own set of Watercolour Roses, do take a look at the Gossard online store. The plunge bra retails for a £34 and the thong for £14, so a reasonable price for such a lovely and comfy set of lingerie.

What do you think of the fall trend of pastel florals? Do you feel it’s more appropriate for spring or do you like the winter garden look? Let me know in the comments!

Review of Lepel “Alexandra” in 32G

25 Sep

I have been raving about Lepel’s collection for ages now and since seeing their AW14 collection last spring, I just new I would have to get my hands on some of their new stuff. Luckily Lepel offered to sent me a couple of sets to review and I was over the moon to get my hands on their Alexandra and Babushka sets. I received the bras in size 32G which was unfortunately a bit off with Babushka (too big with the band, too small with the cups) but the Alexandra was a good fit with the exact same size. This might be due to the difference in construction and materials. The Alexandra is a non-padded balconette shape with a rather generous cups and a firm mesh band whereas the Babushka is a padded balconette with a sleek and stretchy micro fibre fabric. Here’s a full review on the Alexandra, hope you enjoy it!

DSC_0014 DSC_0037
Wow my boobs look massive.

Design: Alexandra is a balconette bra featuring a three-part cup construction and a quite tall centre core. This balconette gives me almost full coverage and leaves no cleavage in sight. I would say the look is very appropriate for everyday and looks good under shirts that have a bit higher neckline. The cups give me a rather rounded forward-projected shape but not tons of uplift. The shape reminds me a lot of Marcie by Cleo, though I would say that Alexandra has a little lower profile and looks that way a bit more modest than some of the similar Cleo styles.

Although I do not own a lot of black lingerie, there is something about the look of Alexandra that intrigues me. I think the design is very simple, yet has a little bit of naughty maid-vibe to it. The upper part of the cup is see-though which looks lovely and gives the bra a bit of sexy edge to it. The centre bow keeps the look classic and cute and the black and white combo is always on trend.

DSC_0006 DSC_0040
The Fit: As I now wear a 30GG/H mostly with other British brands, I knew that the 32G would be a rather close call with Lepel. Lepel tends to make their bra bands a tad snugger than eg Panache and Curvy Kate so I opted to size up in the band. With the Alexandra style, this was the right move as the band is very rigid and stretches quite little. The 32 feels actually like a true-to-size 30″ band so I would definitely recommend sizing up even if you would measure 30 inches around your underbust. The band features two hooks and eyes but is wide enough to be comfortable and supportive.

The cups or Alexandra run large-ish so if you are between cup sizes, I would suggest sizing down. I am now exactly between 30GG and H so the 32G (same cup volume as 30GG) was a great fit for me with this bra. The cups are also very open at the top, meaning this is a great option for someone with full-on-top breasts and also a rather wide breast root. I find myself to be medium-to-narrow when it comes to the breast roots (the part where the breast meets the chest) so I would say the cups are a bit too wide for me, even though the depth was quite spot on. Usually breasts tend to be either shallow and wide or deep and narrow so this is something you should try if you are both deep and wide. The wires are a medium length so they fitted me pretty well.

DSC_0023 DSC_0042
Comfort: Alexandra is made of see-though mesh which is usually not the best material for someone with eczema. The set didn’t however feature any scratchy lace to irritate me so I felt I could wear it for a whole day without any skin irritation. The mesh feels a bit rigid to me, meaning the bra band was quite snug and also the thong didn’t stretch a lot. You might want to consider that when choosing the sizes if you have a bit of extra squish. For me the size 10 thong was spot-on and looks super flattering. Also the rise of the panties looks nice and the wide back part is something I adore when it comes to something as skimpy as thongs.

The bra straps are quite widely placed so you might want to take that into consideration if you are very petite or have slope-y shoulders. Also the wires come quite high so this can cause a bit of irritation in the armpit area. Otherwise the bra and the thong feel very comfortable on. Also I would like to give Lepel a bonus for the fully-adjustable straps that make the bra fit a lot better and also the straps a lot less slippery!

Lepel Alexandra is available in sizes 30-38 B-G and the panties (thong and short) in sizes 8-18. The best places to shop for them are Asos and Figleaves and the prices are very reasonable and student-friendly – only £24 for the bra and £12 for the bottoms! So what do you think of Alexandra? If you have any comments or questions, I will be more than happy to answer them! xx

Review of Tutti Rouge “Mae” in 30GG

28 Jul

I have been lusting over so many Tutti Rouge sets recently and lucky me, I have a tried a few of them too. Today I am reviewing a set I won through a TR competition on their Facebook page. I got to choose a set from their AW13 collection and went for the sexy yet cute style called Mae. Here’s how I liked it…

DSC_0140 DSC_0148
The Design: The cups are made of three parts with a mesh on top and leather-look satin on the bottom part of the bra. I personally love the risque materials that create a very sexy look without being too tacky or trashy. Many of you may think that Mae is very “french maid” but for me it represents more Snow White. The lovely red roses and lacy bows make the bra more cutesy and give it a girly edge. The black and white combo is very classic but looks great in a bra designed for the AW season.

I love the rounded shape this bra gives me – it’s actually almost minimizing. I think the shape is based on TR “Sophia” which had problems with the mesh coming up too loose but I feel like this model is highly improved as I don’t experience any loose fabric during normal use (the pics might show a little extra mesh on the sides but it smooths out when being in a normal position, not holding a camera and posing).

DSC_0168 DSC_0172
The Fit: I went for my regular TR size meaning 30GG. I would say this style runs a bit tighter in the band than my TR Nichole, meaning it feels quite snug. It doesn’t cause any ugly bulges though and feels fairly comfortable on so I feel like it fit me well even though being a bit tighter than I prefer. However, I don’t think sizing up would be a good idea since the band will loosen up after a few wears. I have worn this bra only for a few times since I think it’s more appropriate for autumn but I’m positive I will be wearing it tons when the weather gets colder.

The cups run pretty true to size meaning I can easily wear my regular 30GG without any spillage or gaping. The wires are quite wide for me as I now need medium to narrow-ish wires. However, they feel quite comfy and don’t give me any pain while wearing the bra. As you can see the cups are on the shallower side especially on the bottom half of the bra meaning the cups fold a bit as they are not deep enough for me on the bottom. This does not bother me at all but it’s good to know if you are especially deep on the bottom half of your breasts. I think the bra would be quite great for someone with a bit more shallower breasts than mine.

DSC_0151DSC_0131 Comfort: I wore this bra during a long motorcycle ride and it felt comfortable on even with the band being quite snug. I love TR’s materials – they always feel really high-quality and well thought-out. The wires felt pretty flexible and the core tacked well and didn’t cause any pain at all.

When it comes to the mini-style thong, I wasn’t too pleased. To be honest, I haven’t worn it a single time since it’s not a flattering style on me. The cut is so low on the waist and so high on the crotch that I feel really uncomfortable showing that much flesh. I think the style would fit someone with a little less booty and a flatter stomach. Also, I feel like Tutti Rouge has definitely made their panties a little smaller in size – I got this in size Small and even though their Small has fitted me well in Nichole, Betty and Liliana, the Small in Mae feels quite tiny compared to the fore-mentioned styles. However, this could also be due to the mini style which is just not my cup of tea.

Otherwise, I feel like Mae is a gorgeous set and the bra is really pretty and looks great on. I would definitely recommend it to someone who loves balconettes and has a lot of upper fullness to fill the top part of the bra. You can get your Mae from TR’s BIG CARTEL ONLINE STORE. The bra (£22,40) comes in sizes 28-38 DD-HH and the bottoms in S-XL (£9,60). What do you think of Mae? Love it, hate it? Let me know in the comments!

Review of Ewa Michalak “PL Slowianki” in 70H

23 Jul

When I first tried Ewa Michalak I was smitten with their Mgielka bra – it is still one of my favourite bras for its amazing design and fit. I decided to let Ewa and her crew know that I loved their bras and had written a review and for my surprise, they wanted to send me another set to review. I had been drooling over PL Slowianki and I think team Michalak might have heard my wishes since they decided to send me the set, with two different bra sizes, matching thong and a brief. I was over-the-moon when the set arrived just a few days after it was made and I got to try both 70GG and 70H, as the padded Ewa bras fit a bit differently.

All padded Ewa bras feature removable pads to even out a-symmetry or give you a little extra oomph. As my boobs have a size difference of a cup size, I decided to go for the bigger size 70H and place BOTH of the pads to the right cup. This was a great choice and made the bra fit like a dream. Here are my thoughts about the PL Slowianki.

DSC_0089DSC_0077DSC_0120
The Design: As many of you know by now, I fell in love with the design from day one it was released on Ewa’s online store and Facebook page. Ever since I got my first EM bra, I just wanted to try the other shapes as well and as a lover of cleavage, PL (plunge) was definitely on my list. This is not your regular plunge though; I feel like the uplift is quite like any balconette bra you can imagine, just with a plunging neckline. My breasts are very hoisted up in the bra and look fantastic under dresses and tops with low necklines. The shape is very projected and round which is not to be taken for granted when talking about full-bust bras.

I love red, so of course I loved this bra for its colour too. The red and white combo reminds me of a Finnish candy called Marianne but their obviously the national colours of Poland as well. The red is kind of an orange-y hue and goes actually pretty well with my new favourite lipstick (MAC Retro Matter “Dangerous”, if anyone cares to know). The massive white bows are probably my favourites when it comes to the bra design but also the lovely flower print is a total eye-catcher.

DSC_0098DSC_0093
The Fit: The cups are constructed of three parts with a very soft comfortable padding. As said, the cups come with two removable pads to even out a-symmetry which is like heaven to me since I have quite a bit of size difference between my boobs. With both of the pads in my right cup, I feel like I fill the whole bra and my boobs look wonderfully uplifted. My first EM bra was an unpadded SM shape which was quite a good fit in size 70G. With the padded PL style however, I can go up as much as two cup sizes from my regular size, just because of the amazing pads and the different shape. As I tried the 70GG it felt too small on my bigger side and just the right on my smaller side. This is why I decided to go up 70H.

The band of PL Slowianki feels just as snug as my Mgielka’s and thus is a great fit for my 30″ (snugly measured but not break-the-tape) ribcage. I feel like this 70 band is the best fit of all the bands I’ve tried; it is snug but not too tight and comes with three hooks and eyes for maximum support. The wires are about perfect and I would say they feel just a tad wider than my Mgielka’s (this could also be due to the size difference as my Mgielka is indeed 70G). For anyone looking for their right Ewa size, I would go up a band size and maybe a cup size or two in their padded bras. This however, depends on whether you are between cup sizes or have a-symmetry.

DSC_0126 DSC_0122DSC_0127 DSC_0129
Comfort: I think Ewa Michalak sets are so comfortable and they really feel like there’s a lot of thought put behind them. The first thing I noticed was the marvelous cotton lining inside the cups – such a great option for someone who gets skin irritation from artificial materials. Also the outer fabric of the bra and knickers is so soft and smooth and feels like a dream to touch. Also the lace feels pretty soft and non-scratchy so I can easily wear the set for several hours without any skin irritation or rash.

The wires are nice and low in the armpits which means there is no poking whatsoever. Also the straps are pretty comfy. However, the straps are only half-adjustable so keep that in mind as it’s not always the best choice for petite girls. Personally I haven’t had any problems with the straps and they haven’t fallen off my shoulders even a single time.

If you are not sure whether to buy a matching set, I would highly recommend it when buying from Ewa. I opted for the size 8/36 an they feel very comfortable and flattering. I was so grateful to get sent both the brief and the thong and I can honestly say they both feel great on and stretch nicely over my ever-growing butt. I think the thong is a flattering cut as it doesn’t reveal everything but covers the top part of the derriere nicely. The rise of both of these panties is just perfect as I hate it when panties come up too low or high. They hit me just below my cookie pouch which is the most flattering rise for me personally.

You can find PL Slowianki at Ewa’s online store, ordering and paying is really easy so I highly recommend giving it a try. This set is made especially for the one ordering it, so it takes a couple of weeks to make it before it can be shipped. It’s worth the wait though and this way more sizes can be produced (this style goes up to KK-cup!) 🙂

I am in love with PL Slowianki, how about you? Any other EM sets you have your eyes on? Let me know in the comments! xx

Disclosure: Ewa Michalak kindly sent this set for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Review of the Ewa Michalak “SM Mgielka” in 70G

18 Jun

I was very hesitant to make my first order on Ewa Michalak but after my boyfriend got his first paycheck from new his job, he decided to take the plunge for me. I have never had an Ewa bra before meaning the sizing worried me. I had heard the bands usually run a little small so I went for my regular Polish band size 70/32. With a little help of my blogger friends (thanks to y’all <3) I decided to settle for a size 32G which is a sister size to my usual 30GG. The EM sizing guide would put me somewhere near 75FF/G but as a believer in firm bands I decided to stick to my best guess meaning 70. My boyfriend was also sweet enough to buy me the co-ordinates so you’ll hear the comments on both the bra and the panties. Let’s see how SM Mgielka worked for me!
Image
Image
The design: First of all, as you can see the bra is completely sheer so if that’s not your thing, don’t consider. However, sheerness is SO my thing and I absolutely love this set for it! Excuse the nipples btw, women have them and I don’t see the reason to cover them (so get over it). The design of the bra is very striking with the thick black seaming going around the bra. I don’t own much black lingerie anymore but I do love it once it’s beautifully crafted! I think Ewa has managed to design a beautiful not-boring black bra to fill full-bust market’s gap for sexy sheer lingerie and I’m very happy that I gave it a try. I also adore the huge bow on the front, so cute!

I think the shape of the bra is one of the best I can get in a non-padded bra. “SM” in the bra’s name stands for a unpadded balconette, a one that gives more coverage and uplift for a medium-to-large bust. For me this is actually one of the bras that give me a little less coverage than my average bra so I would be very interested to try some other Ewa Michalak styles as well (I already have my eyes on the PL Slowianki!). The shape is quite naturally curved but extremely uplifted because of the well-placed seaming and the three-part cup construction.
ImageImage
The Fit: The fit of the bra is very good except I probably could have gone up a cupsize meaning I am probably somewhere between 70G and 70GG. My smaller boob is completely fine but I just feel like the upper panel of the other cups is pressing my bigger boob a bit. However, I’m not spilling out notably and the bra feels good on. Even wearing it for the whole day there is no spillage whatsoever. The shape of the bra however might be a bit better suited for someone with lower fullness. However I feel like the bra gives me such great uplift I can’t part with it and would welcome many more SM bras in my lingerie wardrobe!

The band of the 70G feels snug yet quite stretchy meaning it is about the same as eg some 30-band Curvy Kate styles I own. So with this style, if you are between sizes or prefer looser bands for comfort, I would go up from your regular British band size. The wires are very narrow which are just wide enough for me, if they would be any narrower I think they would stab my breast tissue. The cups are medium depth in my opinion so they are quite spot on for me.
ImageImage
Comfort: This bra is so comfy! I feel like the band is just stretchy enough for me to not even notice that I’m wearing a bra and the wires come so low they don’t poke under my arm. The wires feel quite flexible too so they don’t stab my ribs nor my sternum painfully even though the gore lies flat as it should. The mesh and the lace are probably not the most conventional or best material for someone with excema but so far I haven’t had any discomfort regarding them. The straps are placed well for me and stay up hrough the day without readjusting. Also I like the little detail of the strap attaching to a wider sling on the top of the cup.
ImageImage
The Co-ordinates: The thong is so cute I knew right away it would be my choice for the co-ordinates! There is also the option of a classic brief but I really like the thicker upper panel of the back of the thong which flatters my butt greatly and gives more coverage than your average thong. The big bows are so darn cute and I’m also a big fan of the ruffle! This thong is also very comfy and feels great even under the skinniest jeans. The crotch area is quite thin so do think about that if it generally bothers you with panties. However, it’s not the most skimpiest thong I’ve ever seen so I’m quite happy. The lace edge at the top part of the thong is not stretchy at all so do keep that in mind when opting for a size. I got mine size 8/36 and it fits perfectly!

All in all, I’m very impressed with my SM Mgielka and am already drooling over some other styles, including PL Slowianki and the new sweet SM Bialy Bez. Also the prize of this set is not bad at all! I paid about 55€ for mine including shipping. To Finland, it took only four (!) days to deliver so I was quite happy about the speedy delivery as well. Also Ewa’s team kept me posted on everything that happened regarding my order so I wasn’t left wondering at any stage of the process.

Has anyone of you tried Ewa and what do you think of her bras? Also, if you have an opinion, should I try the 70GG next time, just for comparison? I would love to hear so please do drop me a comment! xx

Review of the Curvy Kate “Daisy Chain” bra in 30GG

9 Apr

Hello dear all! I have landed safely on Finnish soil and my first day here was absolutely perfect – roasted salmon, comedy night with friends and cuddling up with my boyfriend. Couldn’t have wished for more! Today I’m heading out to test another new swimsuit but before that I take some time to chill and write a review for you guys since guess what, I am starting a new even more fierce love-affair with Curvy Kate unpadded bras! A lovely lingerie e-commerce store Mio Destino offered to send me a set of Curvy Kate lingerie and I decided to cross my fingers for the unpadded styles to fit me. For my surprise, the fit was greatly improved since I last tried them and I was thrilled to gain back my admiration for CK’s unpadded options. Today I’m reviewing Curvy Kate “Daisy Chain” which is a piece from CK’s SS14 collection.

ImageImage
The design: I had really hard time picking between Daisy Chain and the new Raspberry toned Dreamcatcher. I love the colours of the Curvy Kate SS14 collection so there were definitely a lot of options in the Mio Destino store as well! Eventually I went for the Daisy Chain since it’s quite a new style for me – a plunge shaped unpadded bra with laminated cups. My previous Curvy Kate bras have all been sheer balconettes which is why I was super curious to try out this particular design. I had never been too eager about the Curvy Kate “Lottie” which also featured laminated cups but this lovely pink shade of Daisy Chain looked so cute I could’t resist it. I ended up really loving the laminated fabric since it does give me a bit more sturdier shaping than the sheer CK styles.

I was very dubious about the shape of this bra would give me since my now-more-prominent full-on-top shape had started to affect my relationship with my previous CK styles. I was devastated since they were so comfy but I just simply couldn’t look that great in them anymore. With Daisy Chain I can see the fit improvements though and I can tell you that they are MASSIVE. The shape is a wonderful natural shape with a slight curve and looks very uplifted and supported compared to eg my old Portia. It looks great under any piece of clothing but for me unpadded CK styles have always been the kind of everyday bras to wear under t-shirts and sweaters. Daisy Chain is exactly the bra for this kind of use and I love it to death for it.

The bra is constructed of three parts and features a lovely sheer panel on the top part of the cup. The sheer panels also feature some lovely embroidery which is what I love about Curvy Kate styles in general. The whole styling of the bra is so cute and makes me smile. Love it!

ImageImage

The fit: The most important fit improvements that are notable are the lift and size consistency with this bra. I opted for my usual size 30GG but was kind of afraid it would be too big since CK used to fit me differently between padded and unpadded styles. This size along with my other Curvy Kate bras fits me very well and doesn’t feel like it’s too big as I would have guessed it to be. Also the plunge shape is always a risk with my breast shape but with this bra it seems to work wonderfully! You can see some slight wrinkling in the cups on the side but that is only because I’m lifting my arms. Also there is slight wrinkling towards the apex with the other cup but that is due to my size difference and it is not really that notable.

Wires are again perfect and straps luckily fully-adjustable. I think the cups are also deeper than they used to be with previous CK unpadded cups. This is good news for people with less shallow breasts. Also as the centergore is lower than with CK balconettes it is more suitable for women with closer-set breasts or women who prefer plunge styles to go along with lower necklines. The band and cups of the bra run pretty true-to-size and again I’m impressed with how lovely the band feels on my body – not too tight yet very supportive.

ImageImage

The comfort: Yet again, best feature of the whole set is how comfortable it feels on. CK has always managed to win me over with it’s delicious designs and colours but comfort is the one thing that always sets them apart from so many other lingerie brands. I recommend CK as a first full-bust brand to try since comfort is still one of the most crucial parts of accepting your full-bust size and and diving into the world of full-bust lingerie. If your first D+ bra is a disaster comfort-wise the whole revelation of D+ sizes basically get’s ruined. I cannot emphasize more how well this bra feels on and how I barely can feel it when wearing it around the house or just cycling to uni. The band feels stretchy enough to accommodate a lot of movement during the day and also the wires are very comfortable; no pinching or poking anywhere.

I was also sent the the Daisy Chain thong to go along with the bra and I definitely think it’s quite comfy for a thong. I think CK has also improved the fit of their panties and put a lot of thought into them by adjusting the sizing and also coming up with a few new style options. In the past the panties used to run quite small but with this SS14 collection I feel the sizing has shifted towards the more regular fit which means I can pretty comfortably wear a size 8 now. I still feel like I’m kind of between sizes 8-10 but that should sort itself out when I hit the gym more regularly now that I’m back home.

All in all Curvy Kate’s Daisy Chain is a lovely set which makes a great everyday basic for unpadded bra lovers. It also features a short options as a co-ordinate which means one can choose between the more flattering and comfy style herself. This bra is available in sizes 28-38 D-J and the panties in sizes 8-22. You can get the set from Mio Destino for the affordable price of £29 for the bra and £14 for the panty.

Disclosure: This set was generously gifted by Mio Destino for review purposes. All opinions are my own.

Review of Gossard “Summer” in 32FF

19 Mar

As I told you guys a few days ago, I received a couple of sets from the Gossard’s recent collections and as a more summery option I was sent their very aptly named ”Summer” set to review. I was very keen to see if this unpadded style would fit me similarly to the padded Edina since it was such a success with my shape.

 Image
The design:

The Summer is almost like a more spring-like version of Edina with its painting-like flower print. The colours are lovely with this bra as well – it’s a happy mixture of lavendel purple, peach and creamy tones. These shades are very nice on my extremely fair skintone and also very fashionable for the SS14 season. The lace is beautiful and very feminine yet quite simple complimenting the cheerful print.

With unpadded bras like Summer it’s crucial to create a as-good-as-possible shape, especially with full-on-top breasts since they can be turned into sad droopy things hanging way too low on one’s waist. In three words: uplift is vital. Gossard has managed to great quite a natural and also fairly minimized shape even with an unpadded bra. The uplift is beautiful and looks great under shirts and dresses. Definitely one of my new favourite bras at the moment!

Compared to Edina Summer is definitely a more everyday look which can be worn in most situations since it doesn’t give you any extra volume or cleavage. It’s great under t-shirts as well since the lace on the top part of the cups is very thin and the colour palette is so light (not as light to go as a “nude” bra but that’s not usually a problem since I don’t wear white). The band has Gossard’s signature triangle design and looks very pretty, as always.

ImageImage
Fit:

The bra has a very similar cup construction to Edina even being a unpadded design; it features three parts per cup and both vertical and horizontal seaming. The cups have quite a good depth to them for me and the wires encase all my breast tissue. I would say the overall fit is VERY similar to my Edina. I opted for the size 32FF with Summer as well and it fits me perfectly.

As said in my latest post the Gossard bras run small in bands and large in cups. This applies to Summer as well which is good since I can note that the fit is very consistent. Nothing more annoying than to order bras from the same brand and end up with differently fitting individuals! Consistency in sizing makes it always easier to make your next order since there is no guessing with the sizes.

ImageImage
Comfort:

Like Edina, I wear Summer around my flat just for hanging out since it’s so comfy. The materials are very good quality and feel nice against my skin, also the wires are the right width and don’t pinch me anywhere. The straps are half-adjustable which always makes them more problematic for smaller ladies. They are also made half-way through out of satin which makes them more slippery than just basic bra straps.

Again, the co-ordinates were super comfy with this set. I rarely wear a thong but this one was especially comfy which is great since a badly-fitting thong is one of the worst things I know. Also the size XS was spot on and didn’t rise up my butt towards my back or create any muffin-top. I especially loved the fact that the sides of the thong featured the same semi-strechy lace that the bra did, great for accomodating slight weight-fluctuations.

All in all, I loved the Summer as much I loved Edina. Gossard has very quickly become on of my go-to brands when it comes to sexy yet comfy pieces and if I speak the truth, it’s one of my boyfriend’s favourites as well! The unpadded bra comes in sizes 30-38 D-G but it is also available in smaller cupsizes as a padded bra. The panties come in sizes XS-XL. You can find the set on Gossard’s websiteWhat do you think of Summer, is it something you could imagine adding to your summer wardrobe? Let me know in the comments! xx

Disclosure: This set was generously gifted by Gossard. All opinions are my own.
